So What?

So What?

So what if there are barriers to life? If everything were easy, what rewards are then reaped by the victors? A hollow victory, indeed! Much satisfaction is gained from overcoming the seemingly impossible. I might have a couple of physical challenges, but I trust God to light my way.

From 2 Corinthians 12:7-10:

7 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

How true!

Dose of Humility

A dose of humility goes a long way toward reality. You’re not the “best” musician, most “eloquent”, “quickest” wit, etc. So what? Does it matter in the big picture? Of course not. The journey is much more valuable than the destination. You shape your character along the way.

Being humble opens you up to learn even more. One doesn’t know everything, so don’t sweat it. Work with what you have. If you don’t have much, you will be more creative trying to overcome the challenges. Use your mind!

Expectations

Many expectations will be dashed in your lifetime. So what? Who said things go by some tidy script? That sounds too predictable, thus boring. Real life mixes things up.

I’ve learned if you don’t expect outcomes, anything might happen. Expect the unexpected…

So what? Seek truth.
