My Midsummer Day’s Dream
(c) 2002 Mark Witters
Please don’t disturb my midsummer day’s dream,
It’s been spun from the finest gold.
I’ll share it with you in a minute or so-
How wonderful it seems!
You could be my midsummer day’s dream,
But you might not ever know.
Sometimes words cannot explain.
The wonder of the glow.
A willow-the-wisp is all it is,For we can’t tarry long.
For in short, it will be gone; Their “reality” in lieu.
The whole winter long I will recall
this midsummer day’s dream.
Beauty from that pinprick gleam is the loveliest of all!
